National and International Awards

Food from Spain

Awarded by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food, this prize promotes the quality of Spanish EVOO. It recognizes oils in categories such as bitter green fruitiness, sweet green fruitiness, ripe fruitiness, and organic, with a special prize for the best overall oil.

ATHENA International Olive Oil Competition

Held in Greece, this is an international competition that evaluates the quality and excellence of EVOO. It is recognized for its prestige in the global olive oil industry.

AVPA Paris: Oils of the World

Held in France, this competition highlights olive oils and other vegetable oils from around the world. It classifies EVOOs according to their organoleptic profile (intense, medium, or light fruitiness) and promotes the diversity of traditional flavors.

BIOL Award

An international competition held in Italy since 1996, dedicated exclusively to organic EVOOs. More than 400 oils from 15 countries participate, evaluated by an international jury.

EVOOLEUM Awards

These awards highlight the world's 100 best EVOOs and publish an annual guide. In 2024, Spain led the way with five oils among the top ten.

Expoliva

It recognizes EVOOs in categories such as conventional, organic, and limited production. It is part of the International Olive Oil Fair in Jaén and is twinned with the Italian Sol d'Oro award to promote EVOO worldwide.

Jaén Selection

A distinction awarded by the Provincial Council of Jaén to highlight the quality of the finest EVOOs from this world-leading province. Each year, eight exceptional olive oils are selected to represent Jaén at international events.
