Tasting notes
On the nose, aromas of yellow apple and banana stand out, with red tomato and almond in the background. It enters the palate smoothly, with a touch of pungency appearing at the end that gives it a distinctive edge. The aftertaste is of almond and banana.
Pairing
This is an exceptional oil for culinary use, especially in mild stews, baking, as well as sauces and mayonnaises. It is also very interesting to enjoy with Greek yoghurt.
Lecciana is a variety that almost nobody knows in Spain — it was born from a genetic improvement programme in Italy crossing Leccino with Arbosana. This Oiltopia monovarietal has a smooth profile with yellow apple and banana that surprises, and that touch of pungency at the end gives it a distinctive edge that makes it memorable. It is one of the oils I bring out at tastings when I want someone to discover that there is a world beyond the usual varieties.
Know every detail

Behind Oiltopia is Aceites Estrella del Guadalquivir, a mill founded in 2009 in Villa del Rio, Cordoba, on facilities with more than 50 years of history. They control the entire process — from the grove to the bottling — without middlemen. What reaches the bottle has full traceability.
Lecciana is a variety that almost nobody knows in Spain. It was born in 1998 from a genetic improvement programme by Agromillora and the University of Bari, crossing Italian Leccino with Spanish Arbosana. The result is an olive with the Italian aromatic elegance and the productive adaptability of our native varieties. Oiltopia grows it in super-high-density groves beside the Guadalquivir and mills it the same day it is harvested.
It is a variety cultivated in Spain, Portugal, Australia, Chile and the United States, but finding a Lecciana monovarietal in a Spanish oleoteca is rare. Production is limited. An oil for those who already know Arbequina and Picual and want to take the next step.
A variety that almost nobody knows, grown in Cordoba, with a profile that does not fit any familiar category. We selected it for the curious customers, those who have already tried Picual and Arbequina and want to discover something new. Mercedes describes it as "a pleasant surprise you do not expect."

Extra virgin olive oil is a fresh product. Its quality depends on proper storage and consuming it within its optimal date. If an online shop does not tell you which lot it will ship or when it expires, you have no way of knowing if what you receive is from this harvest or two years ago.
Be wary of shops that do not publish this information. We show it because we believe you have the right to know exactly what you are buying.

Me encanta!! Lo recomiendo totalmente. Viene muy bien embalado, y con una presentación bonita
A controlled cross between the Italian Leccino and the Spanish Arbosana, developed in 1998 in Barcelona by Agromillora and the University of Bari. It combines Italian aromatic quality with the productivity of Spanish varieties. It is suited to super-high-density olive groves and is grown in Spain, Portugal, Australia, Chile and the United States.
No. Leccino is a pure Italian variety. Lecciana is its offspring — a hybrid with Arbosana. Lecciana oil has a smoother, fruitier profile than classic Leccino, with less bitterness.
The volatile compounds in Lecciana produce fruity notes (yellow apple, banana) and almond. These are not added flavourings — it is the natural profile of the variety when harvested early and milled immediately.
From Oiltopia's olive groves (Aceites Estrella del Guadalquivir) in Villa del Río, Córdoba. Super-high-density groves along the Guadalquivir river.
It is versatile, but it shines when used raw. Its smooth profile with a peppery touch makes it ideal for fish, salads and cheese. For high-temperature cooking, a Picual is more stable.
The variety itself is neither organic nor conventional — that depends on how the grove is managed. This Lecciana from Oiltopia is produced under conventional farming with integrated pest management.
