Jaén Selection 2025
The Jaén Selection Awards are awarded annually by the Jaén Provincial Council to the best extra virgin olive oils in the province. Their objective is to highlight the quality and excellence of Jaén's olive oils, promoting their marketing and positioning in the national and international markets. The selection is made through a blind tasting in which a panel of experts evaluates various organoleptic parameters, such as the oil's aroma, flavor, and balance.
Each year, a maximum of eight oils are selected to receive the "Jaén Selection" distinction, allowing them to participate in gastronomic events and international fairs with the support of the Provincial Council. Among the award-winners, a special category is designated for organically produced oils, reinforcing the commitment to sustainability and environmental protection. This recognition has become a prestigious seal within the olive oil sector, contributing to the visibility of small and medium-sized producers.
