Tasting notes
This coupage is crafted from Frantoio, Picual and Arbequina. A combination of three very different varieties that lend it remarkably intriguing nuances. The Arbequina contributes fruity notes and smoothness on the palate. The Frantoio, a variety originating in Tuscany, brings bitter almond and freshly cut grass, along with a cayenne-style peppery kick. Finally, the Picual adds vegetal touches and a hint of bitterness.
Pairing
Ideal for finishing creams and dishes where you want aroma and a chili-like peppery note. Pairs beautifully with grilled vegetables and fatty fish such as salmon or tuna.
This coupage combines three of the four varieties grown on the estate -- Frantoio, Picual and Arbequina -- each contributing very different nuances. Blending different varieties is truly an art: you need just the right proportion of each so they all express themselves equally. This coupage is a fine example of the art of combining varieties.
Know every detail

Finca Badenes is a family estate of 200 hectares in Jabalquinto, Jaen. Grandfather Matias bought the farm in 1965. Today the family cultivates four varieties -- Picual, Frantoio, Arbequina and Empeltre -- with the almazara (olive oil mill) and bottling facility in the heart of the property. The entire process happens within the estate.
This coupage brings together three of the four varieties grown on the farm. It is not a blend of convenience -- it is an assemblage designed with purpose. The Frantoio, an Italian variety rarely seen in Jaen, is what sets this blend apart: it adds a layer of complexity that a coupage made only with local varieties could never achieve.
Three varieties from a single estate, including Frantoio, which is a rarity in Jaen. We carry it because that composition creates a balanced oil that works for everything, and because we love that our customers discover that there is more than Picual growing in Jaen.

Extra virgin olive oil is a fresh product. Its quality depends on proper storage and consuming it within its optimal date. If an online shop does not tell you which lot it will ship or when it expires, you have no way of knowing if what you receive is from this harvest or two years ago.
Be wary of shops that do not publish this information. We show it because we believe you have the right to know exactly what you are buying.

Nuevamente todo un acierto el aceite que me habéis aconsejado
Nuevamente todo un acierto el aceite que me habéis aconsejado, un aceite con sabor, olor y paladar exquisitos
Three: Picual, Frantoio and Arbequina. All grown on the same Finca Los Badenes estate in Jabalquinto. This is not a blend of oils from different origins -- it is an assemblage of what grows on a single property.
Yes. The coupage is smoother because it includes Arbequina, which contributes fruity, sweet notes.
It is an all-rounder: toast, salads, carpaccios, roasted vegetables, pasta, rice dishes. Its versatility is its greatest strength.
