This was one of the best olive oil tasting experiences we've had. Mercedes is so knowledgeable and passionate about olive oil quality. She introduced us to multiple varieties and walked us through differences in taste and smell depending on olive variety and terrain/geography of their growth. Mercedes taught us how to smell and taste olive oil and how to recognize quality product. She was able to answer all of my many questions, displaying the deep knowledge of production process, chemistry, history and culture of olive oil in the region, as well as internationally. The oleoteca is at C. Paz, 12, 18002 Granada — three minutes from the Cathedral, beside Plaza de la Trinidad. We send exact directions with your confirmation.
Can I buy the oils afterwards?
Always. Every oil is available in the oleoteca and online, and you can add a take-home bottle or a tasting kit to your booking.
