Private Tasting
A private extra virgin olive oil tasting with one of our specialists at Oleoteca Molino & Cata, in Granada's historic...
Learning to taste olive oil changes the way you buy it. In 90 minutes with Mercedes Uceda, professional taster, you'll try between 5 and 8 extra virgin olive oils chosen to show contrasts: an intense, herbaceous Picual from Jaén that smells of summer gardens, a sweet and fruity Arbequina, the unmistakable chilli-pepper kick of a Hojiblanca, and a rarity or two like Pajarera or Fulla de Salze that you'll hardly find anywhere else.

A sip drawn with air. Bitterness and a peppery finish mean fresh, healthy oil.
We reveal the lab sheet — acidity, harvest, varietal, altitude.
Whichever way you arrive, every experience is led by Mercedes herself — training your nose, decoding acidity and polyphenols, and naming the grove behind each oil. Professional tasting in Spanish and English, without unnecessary jargon.
“Once you've smelled a great Picual blind, the supermarket shelf never looks the same again.”
