About this oil
This oil, in full
Everything behind the numbers — the varietal, the estate, the milling, and how to taste it.
A single-estate extra virgin olive oil, cold-milled and tasted blind before it reaches the shelf.
What are Chupadeos olives?
They are table olives seasoned in the traditional Andalusian style, with garlic, pepper, oregano and vinegar. The name comes from "chuparse los dedos" (licking your fingers), because that's exactly what you end up doing. They are a classic of southern Spanish bars.
What variety are they?
Hojiblanca. It is the most prized variety for table olives in Andalusia for its firm flesh, small pit and balanced flavour between sweet and bitter.
Are they from the same producer as Rincon de la Subbetica?
Yes. Almaoliva is one of the brands of Almazaras de la Subbetica, the same cooperative that produces the most awarded olive oil in the world. The Hojiblanca olives come from the same groves.
Do they contain preservatives?
They are seasoned with natural ingredients: garlic, pepper, oregano, vinegar. Once opened, keep them refrigerated and consume within a few days.
