About this oil
This oil, in full
Everything behind the numbers — the varietal, the estate, the milling, and how to taste it.
A single-estate extra virgin olive oil, cold-milled and tasted blind before it reaches the shelf.
What does "organic" mean in olive oil?
That the grove is managed without pesticides or synthetic fertilisers. Official European certification with annual controls. It's not a marketing label: it's a regulated production system.
Does it taste different from the conventional?
Yes. The profile is slightly different: more banana peel, green wood, black pepper. The conventional has more leaf and green almond. They are variations of the same terroir.
Is it healthier?
There is no scientific evidence that organic olive oil is nutritionally superior to quality conventional. Both are EVOO. The difference lies in the environmental impact of the production system.
Where does it come from?
Same origin as the conventional Temprano: Sierra de las Villas, Natural Park of Sierra de Cazorla (Biosphere Reserve), Mogon (Jaen).
